The British Patient-Books-and Heasty-Non-Super Cooking

Now we have another ill cat in the family..no that’s not the right word because Lenny has heart problems for quite a long time, but now he also got serious neck pains because (now listen on!!) he just sits around and doesn’t do anything else but sleeping and eating…so he gets laser acupuncture and massages…..

Here he is after the blood draw:img_1591

Yes, it glitters and sparkles….Lenny was very proud….

And we also visited the Book Tree and got some interesting things:

Alex Haley’s Roots (Yeah Black History Month!!)

Peter Bromhead’s Life in Modern America (it’s a Seventies’ look and seems an interesting reading)

Antike Geisteswelt II  (it’s Cicero, Marc Aurel, Pliny……it can’t be uninteresting!!!!)

With all the sick cats and influence all over the place we needed something healthy and nourishing, so we decided to make some healthy and tasty Cookies – short:

Heasty Cookies (!!Warning!! Not Super! Non-Superfood-Ingredients!!!)

210 g flour

140 g rolled oats

30 g browntop millet (flakes)

30 g wheat germs (flakes)

1 tsp soda

1 tsp salt

200 g margarine

250 g sugar

1 Tbsp molasses

2 eggs

1 Tbsp orange essence

90 g coconut flakes

eventually 1 – 2 Tbsp milk

Mix dry ingredients, beat other ingredients well with electric mixer, add  dry ingredients, eventually add  1 or 2 Tbsp milk till it gets smooth…

Drop 1 Tbsps of dough on a baking sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10-13 Minutes.

These cookies are not too sweet and great with milk…

You can replace browntop millet and wheat germs by any healthy flakes, seeds etc…or use just oats…whatever you like…
