After a short glimpse on what to serve in a French Brasserie (Btw I checked the menu card of our new Brasserie in town – no artichokes, shame on them!!!) here is another idea for small dishes and appetizers which in combination give a great party dinner for summer:

Spanish Tapas with Mexican touch

For Lenny’s Tapas we serve fresh avocados, tomato salad with Chorizo, Manchego with Honey, Tinto de verano and Patatas Bravas

Tinto de Verano

this is a very refreshing and delicious drink, some kind of quick Sangria, it’s just a combination of a good Red Wine and 7up with lots of crushed ice in it…..I love it!!

 

Patatas Bravas

8 potatoes, cooked and in halves

2 cloves of garlic

1 tsp rosemary

1 tsp coarse sea salt

1 Tbsp olive oil

Heat oil in a large iron pan, brown the potatoes and herbs until crispy

Dressing:

1 onion chopped

5 cloves of garlic chopped

2 bell peppers

1 can tomatoes

1 Tbsp vinegar

Thyme

Salt

Brown onions and garlic, add other ingredients and simmer for 30 Min., mix it well with an electric blender.

Pour over potatoes, mix, reheat and serve with fresh avocados 🙂
